This standard also defines the requirements for an Electrostatic Protected Area (<strong>EPA)<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What ESD certified clothing is<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The abbreviation ESD, which stands for <strong>Electrostatic Discharge or electrostatic discharge<\/strong>, refers to the sudden flow of electricity resulting from <strong>contact, electrical short circuits<\/strong>, or <strong>dielectric breakdown<\/strong> occurring between two electrically charged objects. This type of electrostatic discharge primarily affects <strong>ESDs<\/strong>\u2014devices sensitive to electrostatic charges.
